Health education is a fundamental pillar of children’s and adolescents’ development. Yet in many Indian schools, this aspect remains insufficiently implemented due to a lack of qualified human resources and limited prioritization within school curricula.

In response to this situation, our project aims to strengthen hygiene and health awareness among students by working directly within schools. Age-appropriate sessions are organized to address essential topics in an accessible and interactive way.

These workshops are led by final-year nursing students under the supervision of experienced professionals. This approach ensures both the quality of the information provided and a close, approachable exchange with the students.

The program covers topics such as the physical and emotional changes linked to puberty, the importance of daily hygiene, and basic health management, while also providing clear information to dispel myths and misconceptions. Particular attention is given to inclusivity, with sessions adapted for both girls and boys.

Initially launched as a pilot project, the program has generated strong interest among both students and teachers, who have expressed a desire for the interventions to continue. It addresses a concrete need and helps equip young people with the knowledge they need to take care of their health and well-being in everyday life.
