Our goal is to provide a freshly cooked balanced meal that improves the children’s attention span, allowing them to follow their lessons and continue their schooling.

According to the latest data from the Nepal Demographic and Health Survey, about 32% of adolescents are stunted. Undernutrition in children is a major cause of morbidity and mortality that hinders their long-term physical and mental development.

A hungry child cannot concentrate during lessons and drops out of school, unable to cope. School is not only a place of learning, but it also plays an important role in children’s health and nutrition.

School meal programs have been recognized as an effective intervention to address both education and nutritional outcomes for school-aged children in developing countries. This is how the CIAO KIDS Foundation’s midday meal program came into being. To date, more than 700 primary school children receive a hot meal every day.

For CHF 20 you allow 3 Nepalese students to eat a hot meal per day at school for a month.
