The CIAO KIDS Foundation was created in 2008 in Lausanne by Philippe de Preux, its president, with the main objective of helping disadvantaged tribal people in India and in Nepal to empower them in a sustainable way while respecting their local traditions.
The Foundation is officially recognized as being in the public interest and therefore all donations are tax deductible and it is subject to the supervision by the Swiss Foundation Supervisory Authority, based in Bern.
The donations are entirely devoted to the accomplishment of our mission in India and in Nepal. Administrative costs in Switzerland (rent, secretarial, communication, fundraising) are covered by sponsors.
The headquarters in Switzerland is made up of two people and the CIAO KIDS team visits its Indian partners twice a year.
Zewo recommendation :
- Minimum 65% of the funds should be allocated to the accomplishment of the mission
- Maximum 35% of administrative costs
