Who we are<\/em><\/h4>\n

After losing one of his sons, Philippe de Preux took early retirement from the company where he worked to honour the mission that he had been given, namely to help children in disadvantaged countries.<\/p>\n

Since then, our goal has been to improve the living conditions of tribal families and Dalits (formerly called Untouchables) and defend their rights so that they can lead a more dignified and autonomous existence.<\/p>\n

The Foundation is recognized as a non-profit organization, which means that all donations are tax-deductible, and is supervised by the Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations in Berne. Donations are used entirely to carry out our mission in India and Nepal<\/strong>, while administrative costs in Switzerland (rent, secretariat, communication, fund-raising) are covered by our patrons.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]Six people are working to accomplish the mission of the CIAO KIDS Foundation in Switzerland and one in India: Mr. Philippe De Preux, founding president, supported by 4 members of the foundation board, as well as a project manager and 60% responsible for fundraising. In the field, a part-time Program Manager supervises three dynamic local NGOs who employ in total 40 dedicating individuals collaborating daily to advance our common mission.<\/p>\n
